The project called the Theatre of Remembrance and Change was carried out between November 2016 and the summer of 2017 in cooperation with the German organization, Jugendakademie Walberberg e.V. The student participants collaborated on a performance that was documented in this video.
German and Hungarian elementary school students used the forum theatre technique and other artistic techniques to create a walking theatre performance in Szabadság Square at the memorial of the German occupation. They dealt with the topics of the Holocaust, discrimination and tolerance, and expressed their related feelings.
The project was funded by the Remembrance, Responsibility and Future Foundation’s (Stiftung Erinnerung, Verantwortung und Zukunft, EVZ) Europeans for Peace program.
