The team of the InclusEU partnership arrived with excitement in Iasi, Romania, on February 2, 2024! Representing the Subjective Values Foundation, Peter Kovács, the professional leader of the SZUBI Volunteer Program, along with Annabelle Balaton, joined the three-day cultural and professional event.
During the opening evening, we had the pleasure to attend a formal welcoming dinner at the Unirea Panoramic Restaurant, where besides savoring local specialties, we had the opportunity to deepen our cooperation and discuss the upcoming milestones of the event in a relaxed atmosphere.
On the second day of the program, on February 2, 2024, informational presentations and workshops took place. The event was opened by speeches from representatives of Iasi City Hall, ISJ Iasi, and USLIP Iasi.
Following this, a seminar on European Union opportunities provided insights into the main opportunities offered by the European Commission in the field of volunteering: financing programs and digital tools, applicants, types of projects, and various fields of European projects.
In addition to the InclusEU project, other European programs, such as the URBACT program, were also discussed, with representatives participating in the event.
Creative Lab: Ideas for a Better Europe
On the event’s third day, February 3, 2024, participants engaged in a creative workshop aimed at generating concrete project ideas and initiatives contributing to a more inclusive and sustainable European future. Besides, numerous cultural events allowed us to enjoy and familiarize ourselves with the local culture.
Farewell to the InclusEU Event in Romania
On the closing day, participants bid farewell to each other with a final guided tour before heading back home. The valuable experiences gained once again and the deepened connections hopefully lay the foundation for long-term cooperation in European projects.
We extend our gratitude to the USIP Iasi team for organizing this event, and we look forward to meeting again in Portugal!
