The MEET (More Equal Europe Together) project aims to prevent Islamophobia against women and girls in Europe, empowering key actors at the local level to build a culture of tolerance and respect.

The need to achieve mutual understanding and dialogue among different stakeholders is essential in ensuring all citizens in European society, especially the most vulnerable, access to fundamental rights and equal opportunities.

This will be done by fostering a positive narrative of Muslim girls and women engaging youth and young leaders. Youth are the key actors able to develop critical thinking and promote the importance of breaking stereotypes. SVF is partnering with 8 other organizations within the EU on this project, which is co-funded by the European Union’s Rights, Equality and Citizenship Programme, and is running between September 2019 and August 2021.
