The Common Ground Dialogues (CGD) is a co-funded project by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union that aims to develop a depolarizing artistic storytelling practice. This method of creating stories intends to promote empathy and understanding by breaking down stereotypes and challenging biases. Partners will plan and execute various activities that will result in a variety of artistic, scientific and hybrid productions. These productions will involve participation from different cultural and creative individuals and groups, this will be made available to diverse audiences. The CGD methodology will be implemented through storytelling gatherings known as storytelling circles (STCs), creating an environment that is both safe and daring. In this space, individuals are able to examine their differences and identify common values. Through participation in STCs,individuals learn how to work together, collaborate and tackle polarizing topics that divide them. This approach is based on the partners’ belief that changes start from within the communities and co-creative art experiences.
The CGD project is running between January 2023 and December 2024.
