WHO?
The Serbian Club for Youth Empowerment will implement the project “Hip hop culture festival – Come to Amfi” in cooperation with V4 partners, Art Republic Prague from the Czech Republic, The Stripes Foundation from Poland and UNITED for Intercultural Action from Hungary.
WHAT?
The project aims to engage young artists from these countries and support their work at the regional level. The project tends to build capacities of young performers from these countries through support of their senior and recognized colleagues through organization of hip hop culture festival “Dodji na Amfi” (Come to Amfi) (already established festival that would be organized for the eighth time) supporting young artists and building the audience for the performers coming from other countries. At the same time, it will bring performers coming from different WB and V4 countries to Serbia to perform/exhibit, developing regional and European cooperation. The project will include different forms of street art – hip hop music, graffiti, hip hop and break dance, video and photography. The works of young artists will be exhibited through the festival, supported by master classes and workshops that will be organized as part of the festival. In order to increase the visibility of the artistic works and reach a greater audience a festival video will be produced and published.
WHY?
- To provide the opportunity of the exchange between hip hop cultural players from the region.
- The project will bring together young artists from V4 and WB countries and their senior colleagues who will organize master classes and workshops during the festival. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to share and exchange the experience and ideas while performing at the festival.
- To build capacities of young artists from V4 and WB regions with competences, skills and knowledge to become recognized on the regional levels and provide space for joint cooperation.
- To recognize hip hop culture as the bond between the young people from V4 and WB region showing that this culture is the connection between young people bonding them through joint love for street art.
