On the occasion of the European Day Against Islamophobia, on 21 September 2021
the EU Policy Talks 2021 will be held in Brussels, organised as part of the MEET – More Equal
Europe Together project. The event will also be streamed online and simultanous translation

Representatives of European institutions will participate, including MEPs Pierfrancesco
Majorino and Brando Benifei and the European Commissioner for Equality Helena Dalli,
human rights European networks and experts on the subject, who will discuss political
priorities to eliminate the discrimination suffered by Muslim women in Europe. There will
also the opportunity to discuss how to expand the space for civic engagement and inclusion
in the formulation of policies aimed at tackling gender Islamophobia.
