The aim of the international SHELTER (Support and Advice through Health System for Hate Crime Victims) project is to conduct an extensive research by Cyprian, Spanish, Maltese and Hungarian universities and NGOs, which examines health care professionals’ knowledge and experiences about hate crimes.
We will use the gathered information to conduct campaigns in the partner countries to raise awareness and help victims, and we will also organize trainings for nurses, doctors, psychologists and social workers to facilitate the improvement of victim support protocols.
The project is funded by the European Union and is running between December 2018 and November 2020.
